New for 2015! Administrator Letter
Use this customizable letter to reach your superintendent – it can also be customized for a principal. The letter explains the importance of NSBW and the School Breakfast Program, and asks for support. Be sure to customize the bullets with your own ‘asks’! You could also adapt it to reach teachers or PTA leaders. Make sure to send it out well in advance of NSBW to provide advanced notice to your administrator.

1) “Make the Grade with School Breakfast” Presentations
Save time with these pre-developed PowerPoints. The messages in these help you promote “Make the Grade with School Breakfast” and NSBW. Both are customizable to include key messages of your schools and your target audience.

Presentation for Foodservice Staff (pptx) – use this to get staff on board and excited about NSBW.

Presentation for Key Stakeholders (pptx) – these slides target parents, teachers and school administrators. This presentation is perfect for PTA or School Board Meetings when you need to convey the importance of school breakfast.

2) Proclamation
Make it official! Download the sample proclamation and fill in your specific information. You can also request that the mayor or city council proclaim that it is National School Breakfast Week in your town or city.

3) “Make the Grade” Press Release (doc)
Want to get some recognition for your celebration, but short on time? Use SNA’s official media release – just fill in your district’s information and send it out to your media contacts prior to NSBW.

Post the “Make the Grade with School Breakfast” web banners on your school’s website to help spread the word.
