Tray Talk Resources for SNA Members

Visit the official website (www.TrayTalk.org), designed to emphasize the benefits of school meals and showcase success stories from school nutrition programs nationwide. SNA members can help send positive messages about school meals by submitting their own “school nutrition success stories” at the Tray Talk website.

SNA members are key to Tray Talk's success

  • SNA members are encouraged to hold Tray Talks with parents throughout the school year. Tray Talks can be presentations to parents about the benefits of school meals, tours of the cafeteria or taste tests to help parents experience the many advances in today’s school nutrition programs.
  • SNA members can access tools to hold Tray Talks, including a video, presentations that can be customized, a free backpack brochure, media outreach tips, PR talking points and much more!
  •  SNA members can get started by submitting ‘School Nutrition Success Stories’ from their districts here.

Tools & Resources

Submit a success story

Help SNA spread the word about the successes in school nutrition in your district and nationwide. This is the time to show off your school nutrition program’s unique accomplishments that parents should hear about. These can range from healthy balanced school meals, to farm to school programs, to nutrition education/wellness programs, to alternative ways of serving meals or any other success story that may be relevant for parents. SNA will review the information and may publish it on the Tray Talk website or in other SNA materials.

Submit your success story here

The National Milk Mustache “got milk?®” Campaign wants to recognize you among your peers as well.  If your district’s accomplishments include activities such as education events or promotions to support the nutritional importance of school milk, including flavored milk, remember to submit your story to the Spotlight On program by clicking here:  http://www.milkdelivers.org/schools/spotlight-on/school-foodservice/. You may win great prizes, including the opportunity to become a Milk Mustache celebrity! Plus, you can read school milk success stories and ideas from other professionals too.
