Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Mary Hill
Now more than ever…
Join us and show your commitment to SNF’s education, research and scholarship opportunities that support the school nutrition community in advancing good nutrition for all children.
In these uncertain economic times, we must rely on each other for support. This year poses a special challenge for our Foundation’s Annual Fund. We know that many of you are looking closely at your personal budgets and exploring ways to make your dollars worker harder and go farther. SNF is our foundation and our way to ensure that we continue to have education and scholarship opportunities to help us grow.
Help us reach our $55,000 goal by July 31, 2009. Your contribution will help support the education needs of SNA members like you.

These services that SNA is able to provide are made possible through financial support from the School Nutrition Foundation. $1.00 Per Members State Association Challenge
Thanks to the many state associations who have made supporting SNF a priority. Last year contributions from our state associations accounted for more than half of our annual giving dollars raised. This year we are challenging our state associations to help us meet our goal with $1.00 per state association member and our goal is 100% participation from each state.
100% participation will be determined by comparing the 2008-2009 membership goals to the dollar amount received from each state. The commitment form is your state’s pledge to participate in the SNF President’s Challenge.
Those states that meet the 100% participation challenge and those who go above and beyond will be recognized by SNF on the SNF webpage, in Foundation Focus, SNF’s e-newsletter and during 2009 ANC in Las Vegas.
The one state that raises the most money within each division, above and beyond 100% of their membership goal number (this will be based on highest percentage above states individual fundraising goals), will receive a free 2010 ANC early bird registration to be held in Dallas, TX.
Congratulations to the 2007-2008 winners:
North Dakota SNA – exceeded their goal by 217%
New Mexico SNA – exceeded their goal by 219%
Kentucky SNA – exceeded their goal by 292%
