The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) in partnership with the Juice Products Association will be offering a FREE Wednesday Webinar on Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 2:00-3:15 pm EDT, entitled “100% Juice: Squeezing Fact from Fiction.”
As many Americans join Michelle Obama’s efforts to tackle childhood obesity, school nutrition professionals are in a unique position to make a big difference in the future of America’s youth. However, information regarding what type and in what amount foods can contribute to a healthy lifestyle can be confusing--especially as it pertains to100% juice.
In this webinar, school nutrition professionals will learn about the nutritional benefits of 100% juice and the role it plays in contributing essential vitamins and minerals to the diet. This webinar aims to present scientifically-based facts regarding 100% juice consumption and weight status in children and teens, while highlighting recommended serving sizes of 100% juice. The webinar will help participants explore appropriate opportunities to introduce 100% juice into their programs as well as ways to maximize their food purchasing power.
