
SNF in partnership with Kraft to host a Wednesday Webinar, After the Bell: Nourishing Students in Afterschool Programs.
The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) in partnership with Kraft will be offering a FREE Wednesday Webinar on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 2:00-3:15 pm EST, entitled “After the Bell: Nourishing Students in Afterschool Programs”.
This webinar will feature experts from school nutrition operations as well as the Afterschool Alliance. The webinar will focus on meeting the needs of students for energy and nourishment as they extend their school day through USDA’s available afterschool snack programs. Participants will leave the experience ready to streamline food and labor costs and identify solutions to common operational challenges. Expert speakers will share ideas and best practices on partnering with both schools and community organizations on afterschool snacks. The webinar will also include key trends identified by SNA surrounding afterschool snacks as well as an overview of legislative and regulatory priorities surrounding the afterschool environment.
Objectives
- Consider ways to streamline your afterschool program's food and labor costs.
- Identify solutions to common challenges on implementing successful afterschool snack programs.
- Meet the needs of your students for energy and nourishment as they extend their school day.
- Begin to develop a business plan to partner with both your schools and your community on afterschool snacks.

As this webinar is NOT an SNA-sponsored event, but rather is sponsored by the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF), CEUs will NOT be automatically recorded in the SNA database. According to the SNA CEU Guidelines, for non-SNA-sponsored events individuals are required to maintain their own documentation of credits earned.
