May 24, 2013 – On May 22, 2013, SNA President Sandra Ford, SNS, joined a panel of distinguished speakers at the Washington Post Live forum, Future of Food: Building a Sustainable Food System. The event, which featured discussions with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and U.S. Representative Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), explored topics ranging from food insecurity to agricultural innovations helping to make food more affordable and nutritious.
