On July 16, 2012, the USDA released a revised memo addressing Questions and Answers Related to the Certification of Compliance with Meal Requirements for the National School Lunch Program.  Under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, an additional reimbursement of 6 cents per lunch is available for school food authorities certified to be in compliance with the new school meal patterns.

See www.schoolnutrition.org/mealpattern or click here for the revised questions and answers.  New questions are in red italics.  Any questions concerning this guidance should be addressed to the appropriate FNS Regional Office.

Further, here are SNA’s submitted comments regarding the Interim Final Rule on Certification of Compliance with Meal Requirements for the NSLP.  The deadline for you to submit comments is July 26, 2012.
