Have you ever witnessed/been part of a flash mob? (A Flash Mob: is a group of people who assemble suddenly to perform predetermined moves for a short amount of time before quickly dispersing). Would you like to be part of one and put your spontaneous moves to the test?! Well, get ready because the ANC Flash Mob is coming to Nashville this summer and is sure to get the “Good Time”-energy flowing throughout the conference. Whether you’re a dance enthusiast, a country music fan or just like to have fun, this exciting new addition to ANC is a good way to connect with your school nutrition peers. It’s also a neat way to celebrate this once-a-year coming together of the school nutrition community!

The ANC Flash Mob dances will be happening spontaneously throughout ANC, so be on the ready for a little heel-to-toe swivel action! SNA staff has already been practicing their moves… to start doing your own rehearsing, check out the instructional video here.

Of course, the ANC Flash Mob isn’t the only fun happening at this summer’s conference. Did you know that this year’s exhibit floor will feature a Wellness Village? Here, you will be able to enjoy relaxation (massage) stations, get your blood pumping in a challenging game of Wii Sport or glean even more information to help your students stay healthy and fit, courtesy of the Tennessee Obesity Task Force and American Heart Association.

The exhibit floor will also feature the Catch the Moment booth, a favorite among attendees. This is the place to have your photo taken in a unique conference memorabilia setting, including such exciting backgrounds as the cover of School Nutrition magazine. Walk away with your own personalized photograph to remind you of your exciting visit to Music City.

What do you think of the ANC Flash Mob moves? Do you got it down or do you still have work to do? SNA staff will be having at least one more practice session, that’s for sure!

Will you be stopping by the Wellness Village for a massage or to play Wii?
