Dear Friends,
I know you join me in sorrow over the loss and suffering of thousands of victims of Tuesday’s catastrophic earthquake in Haiti. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are affected including those providing aid in the relief efforts and those who are desperate for news of family and friends.
School nutrition professionals have a long history of community action and support in response to the emergencies that follow natural disasters. I encourage all of you to continue in that spirit of support and compassion by donating through your local churches, the Red Cross, the World Food Programme, or other agencies rushing to help our neighbors in Haiti.
